Rochester, NY (January 10, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on January 8 near the intersection of N Goodman St and Garson Ave in Rochester. The incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. and prompted a coordinated response from both fire crews and law enforcement.
Engine 9 was dispatched to the scene in place of Engine 16 after multiple 911 callers reported a crash in the area. Initial reports placed the collision closer to Bay St, but updated information from the caller and police units on the scene later confirmed the incident occurred near Garson Ave. Emergency personnel arrived quickly and began evaluating the scene for hazards while providing medical care to at least one individual who sustained injuries in the crash.
Traffic in the area was briefly impacted as crews worked to assist those involved and ensure the intersection was safe for reopening. At this time, officials have not shared how many vehicles were involved or the extent of the injuries reported.
