ROCKY HILL, Hartford County, Conn., Sept. 21, 2026 — Two people were hospitalized after a car and a moped collided on Sunday night, September 20, on Hayes Road near Summer Lane.
Officers responded to the area just before 10 p.m. and found two moped occupants injured. Officers reportedly gave emergency medical aid at the scene before both were taken to a hospital. Police said one patient is in stable condition and the other is in serious condition.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene, and no charges have been announced.
Because of the severity of the crash, the Midstate Accident Reconstruction Squad was activated and took over the investigation. The cause of the collision has not been released and remains under investigation.
