SAN ANTONIO, Bexar County, Texas, Oct. 22, 2026 — Three vehicles collided on Tuesday night, October 20, near Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner Road on the North Side, leaving one vehicle on its roof. A woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that the police said were not life-threatening.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. A 37-year-old man reportedly had a green light at the intersection when he saw another vehicle approaching and apparently not slowing for the red light facing it.
The two vehicles collided, and the impact rolled the man's vehicle onto its roof. The force of the crash then pushed the second vehicle into a third, driven by a 66-year-old man.
The 33-year-old woman driving the vehicle that struck the man's car was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The conditions of the two male drivers have not been released. The crash remains under investigation, and no citations have been publicly confirmed.
We wish the injured a complete and speedy recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do crashes like this usually trigger a second collision?
Yes. When an initial impact pushes a vehicle into the path of another car, as happened here, a chain-reaction crash can follow within seconds, usually before other drivers have time to react.
Why are multi-vehicle crashes harder to investigate than single-car wrecks?
Investigators have to establish the order of impacts, figure out which vehicle moved where, and sort out how fault may be divided among several drivers, which usually takes longer than a two-car case.
What typically causes a pile-up like this one?
Common factors include a driver running a red light or stop sign, following too closely, or failing to slow in time to avoid a vehicle already stopped or turning. Investigators look at signal timing, speed, and sightlines to piece together what happened.
What to Do After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in San Antonio, TX
If you're involved in a crash with more than one other vehicle, start by checking yourself and any passengers for injuries, then move to a safe spot if the vehicle is drivable. Call 911 even if injuries seem minor, since some symptoms show up hours later. Get contact and insurance information from every driver involved, not just the one you think is at fault, and take photos of all vehicles and the surrounding intersection if you're able. Ask responding officers how to obtain a copy of the crash report once it's filed. A medical check-up in the days after the crash is a good idea even if you feel fine, since adrenaline can mask pain from a rollover or secondary impact.
