SAN CLEMENTE, Orange County, Calif., Sept. 20, 2026 — Two vehicles collided on Saturday afternoon, September 19, on I-5 north near Camino De Estrella in San Clemente, blocking lanes of traffic. Authorities reported injuries at the scene.
The crash reportedly involved a Ford Mustang and a BMW X3 in the middle lanes of the freeway, according to a state traffic dispatch log. Officers noted that the vehicles were blocking the through lanes on I-5 northbound shortly after 12:13 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and a rotation tow was requested to help clear the roadway. A tow truck company was also dispatched to remove at least one of the vehicles.
