Memphis, TN (July 23, 2026) – A sanitation worker died after being struck by a vehicle on Old Millington Rd near Little John Rd in north Shelby County on Wednesday evening.
The collision happened around 5 p.m. when a passing vehicle hit the worker, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene after the collision. The identity of the person who died was not released, and additional details about possible charges were not immediately available. The investigation into the accident is continuing as more information is gathered.
