Frequently Asked Questions
What are common signs that a driver may be impaired?
Weaving between lanes, inconsistent speed, delayed braking, and failure to use headlights or turn signals can all suggest a driver is impaired. If you notice these signs, keep your distance and report the vehicle to authorities if it's safe to do so.
How does alcohol affect a person's driving ability?
Alcohol slows reaction time, narrows peripheral vision, and impairs judgment and coordination, all of which make it harder to respond to sudden hazards like a motorcycle entering an intersection.
Is driving after just one or two drinks actually risky?
Yes. Even blood alcohol levels below the legal limit can measurably slow reaction time and affect depth perception, which matters most at intersections and in situations requiring quick decisions.
