SANTA CLARITA, Los Angeles County, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 — A sedan and an electric car collided Monday morning, September 21, at Valencia Boulevard and The Old Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. At least one person was hurt and taken to a hospital.
The California Highway Patrol said a silver Toyota Prius reportedly ran a red light and struck a black Tesla sedan at the intersection. The Tesla sustained major front-end damage.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took over medical care of at least one person involved, per the dispatch record. The log also notes that responders flagged the intersection as a traffic hazard while crews worked the scene.
