Colorado Springs, CO (June 18, 2026) – A scooter rider died after a collision involving a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, on North Circle Drive in Colorado Springs, according to police.
Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Circle Drive, just south of East Platte Avenue, at approximately 12:40 p.m. following reports of a crash involving a scooter and a vehicle.
Authorities said the scooter operator sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital, where the victim later died.
The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Major Crash Team responded to investigate the fatal crash. Investigators said preliminary findings indicate that neither speed nor alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the collision.
The roadway was temporarily affected during the investigation, but all lanes had reopened by approximately 3 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
