Seattle, WA (January 28, 2026) – A 38-year-old man sustained a possible head injury following a bicycle accident on Tuesday afternoon in downtown Seattle. The incident occurred near the intersection of Pike Street and 1st Avenue shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the injured cyclist conscious but in distress. Paramedics provided immediate medical assistance and evaluated the man for signs of head trauma before arranging transport to a nearby hospital for further care. The bicycle was left at the scene as responders focused on the victim’s treatment.
Authorities indicated that the incident appeared to be an isolated accident, with no indication of another vehicle’s involvement at the time of the report. Traffic in the immediate area was briefly affected as crews worked near the busy downtown intersection.
The cause of the accident remains under review, and officials have not yet released the cyclist’s name. No additional injuries were reported.
