Mountain Center, CA (June 23, 2026) – A head-on crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on SR 74 near South Fork Trail in Mountain Center on Sunday afternoon left the motorcyclist seriously injured, according to an official report.
Reports indicated the crash occurred around 12:25 p.m. on June 21, after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. Initial information indicated the motorcycle rider struck a vehicle head-on near the area east of South Fork Trail.
The crash occurred on a blind curve, creating additional traffic concerns while emergency crews worked at the scene. One person was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center by air ambulance for treatment. A tow service was requested for the motorcycle and another vehicle involved in the collision.
