El Paso, TX (August 11, 2026) – The El Paso Police Department and El Paso Fire Department responded to the scene of a crash where one person was injured after a red car became wedged underneath a semitrailer on Interstate 10 East at Hawkins in El Paso.
The crash happened late on Sunday morning. One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the fire department. The car sustained significant damage and was later towed from the area. The crash temporarily affected traffic on Interstate 10 East, but the Texas Department of Transportation reported that all lanes at Hawkins had reopened.
