Plano, TX (September 7, 2026) – Three people were hospitalized following a seven-vehicle crash at East Parker Road and Avenue K in Plano on Saturday afternoon, September 5, around 3:15 p.m.
A silver Ford Explorer was traveling east at a high rate of speed when it crossed the center median into the westbound lanes. The SUV struck a pedestrian standing on the median, throwing the person into the side of an eastbound vehicle. The Explorer continued through the intersection the wrong way before striking five vehicles stopped at a red light.
Seven vehicles, including the Explorer, were damaged in the crash. The Explorer driver, the pedestrian, and another motorist were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known, and no other injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with those injured as they recover.
