Texarkana, TX (August 17, 2026) – A 15-year-old driver and several other young people were injured and hospitalized on Saturday afternoon, August 15, following a two-vehicle crash at Main Street and West 41st Street in Texarkana. The collision occurred around 4:40 p.m.
Preliminary findings indicate the unlicensed teen was traveling north on Main Street at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign. His vehicle struck a Toyota Sequoia crossing the intersection from West 41st Street, causing the SUV to overturn. The Sequoia driver was not injured, and no injuries were reported inside a nearby home after the teen’s vehicle struck the house.
At least four other young people were riding in the teen’s vehicle, and several were taken to Christus St. Michael Hospital by ambulance. One person was airlifted to a Shreveport hospital with serious injuries.
