Shawnee, KS (January 11, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Saturday afternoon to a traffic incident with reported injuries near Cooper St in Shawnee. The accident occurred in proximity to W Santa Fe St and N Kansas Ave, prompting a coordinated response from fire and medical personnel.

At approximately 2:36 p.m., Rescue Engine 44 and Medic 1143 were dispatched to the area under a code two designation, indicating a non-emergency but urgent response. Units were instructed to stage upon arrival as law enforcement assessed the scene. Additional responders, including Unit 55 and Medic 1156, also confirmed their presence during the incident.
