Springfield, MO (January 23, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident near the intersection of N National Ave and E Chestnut Expressway late on Thursday night resulted in reported injuries and significant traffic delays.
The crash occurred around 11:05 p.m. on January 22. According to dispatch audio, airbags were deployed in at least one of the vehicles involved, indicating a strong impact. Greene County emergency units quickly arrived at the scene and called for additional medical assistance due to the nature of the injuries.
Emergency medical services assessed and treated those injured, while fire crews worked to secure the vehicles and ensure the area was safe.
