Springfield, MO (January 7, 2026) – Emergency crews responded overnight to a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Glenstone Avenue and East Peel Street that left at least one person trapped and multiple others injured.
The crash occurred shortly after Wednesday midnight, around 12:04 a.m., prompting a large-scale response from Springfield Fire Department units. Initial dispatch reports confirmed that two to three people were injured in the collision, with at least one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Engine 10, Tower 11, Ladder 9, Rescue 1, and Battalion Chief 1 were among the units deployed to the scene.
Firefighters and rescue personnel worked swiftly under the command of Glenstone Command to extricate the trapped individual and provide emergency care to all involved. Specific details on the number and severity of injuries have not yet been released.
