SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Dauphin County, PA, Sept. 23, 2026 — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, September 21, on US 322 eastbound in Swatara Township. A fire police officer directing traffic nearby was struck by a vehicle that reportedly fled the scene, according to PennDOT.
The crash happened around 3:05 p.m. near Mushroom Hill Road, PennDOT said. Route 322 eastbound was closed between Penhar Drive and Mushroom Hill Road while crews worked the scene, which has since been cleared.
