West Palm Beach, FL (June 8, 2026) – A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized on Saturday evening, June 6, after an e-bike and a car collided on Stacy Road near Hope Centennial Elementary School in West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the roadway at about 5:51 p.m. after reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. Emergency units arrived and found one person needing medical attention. The teen was taken to a nearby trauma center as a trauma alert patient following the collision.
The driver, identified as Diamond Chandler, told reporters the teen rode through a stop sign before entering the path of her car. Chandler said the boy struck the side of the vehicle and was thrown into the windshield, causing major damage. She also stated she called 911 and stayed with the teen afterward.
Chandler added that another teen at the roadway told deputies the rider had been traveling too fast before the wreck. No additional information about the people involved had been released at the time of publication.
