Grimes, IA (June 24, 2026) – A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured on Monday evening following a traffic collision involving an electric scooter and a passenger vehicle in Grimes.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Monday, June 23, to the intersection of Northeast Bridge Creek Crossing and Northeast Park Drive. Upon arrival, emergency units found the teen with serious injuries to his leg. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The 66-year-old driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
