Chicago, IL (August 14, 2026) – Three people were injured on Thursday night, August 13, in a fiery two-vehicle collision in the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The crash occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m.
A blue sedan carrying three people was traveling south when it sideswiped a black sedan moving in the same direction. After the initial impact, the blue sedan struck a median and caught fire.
A 20-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman inside the blue sedan were all hospitalized. The black sedan driver declined medical attention. Authorities continue reviewing the collision.
