Timonium, MD (August 17, 2026) – Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 15, along northbound Interstate 83 near the West Timonium Road exit in Baltimore County.
Maryland State Police responded to the crash shortly after 9 p.m. Investigators believe a Mercedes was traveling at a high rate of speed when it attempted to change lanes and sideswiped the driver’s side of a Toyota Corolla.
The Mercedes continued onto the West Timonium Road exit ramp before leaving the roadway and entering the grassy area between the exit and on-ramps. The vehicle then traveled over the ramp from Timonium Road to northbound I-83, struck a guardrail, and overturned into the woods.
The Toyota Corolla came to rest on the right shoulder of the northbound I-83 after being struck. The driver and passenger of the Mercedes, along with the driver of the Toyota, were all taken to area hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing. We hope everyone injured in the crash makes a full and speedy recovery.
