Why Are Multiple Medical Crews Sometimes Requested After a Traffic Wreck?
When several medical crews are requested after a traffic wreck, it does not always mean the injuries are life-threatening. In many cases, extra personnel are sent to evaluate several people at once or to make sure enough resources are available if more help is needed.
Medical teams typically assess everyone involved, checking for visible injuries as well as symptoms that may not appear immediately. Some people may be taken to hospital for further evaluation even if they seem alert at first. Factors such as the number of vehicles, the number of occupants, and traffic conditions can all affect how many medical crews are dispatched. Early reports usually provide only limited information, with additional details becoming available after the initial assessment is completed.
