Dougherty, OK (July 4, 2026) – Emergency units responded to a scene after receiving reports of three people being hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening, July 2, at the intersection of State Highway 1 and the Chickasaw Turnpike near Dougherty.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that 18-year-old Liam Wilson of Loco was turning left from the Chickasaw Turnpike onto State Highway 1 when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by 67-year-old Claudine Malone of Ada. Officials did not identify the types of vehicles involved in the crash.
Three occupants riding in Malone’s vehicle suffered injuries and were flown by helicopter to medical facilities for treatment. Authorities did not specify which three occupants were injured or provide updates on their conditions. This is a developing story.
