Duluth Township, MN (July 25, 2026) – Three people were involved in a two-vehicle crash that left them injured at Highway 61 and Ryan Road in Duluth Township on Thursday, July 23, at about 11:20 a.m.
According to the preliminary report, a 2018 Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on the Ryan Rd crossover when it entered the southbound lanes of Highway 61 and collided with a 2012 Ford Fusion traveling southbound. Both vehicles suffered disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
The Silverado was driven by 32-year-old Madisson Joy Samuell of Duluth, who was not injured. A 41-year-old passenger, Megan Joy Samuell of Duluth, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Ford Fusion was driven by 53-year-old Donald Charles Douglas of Knife River, who also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Aspirus Hospital.
All three occupants were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not suspected as a factor. More details will be released as they become available.
