Livermore, CA (August 11, 2026) – Three vehicles were involved in an accident on eastbound I-580 near N Greenville Rd late Monday night, August 10. The California Highway Patrol reported that two vehicles overturned during the collision, including a gray SUV that came to rest on its roof between lanes. Another overturned vehicle ended up near boulders along the left shoulder. A gray Chrysler 300 also sustained major damage, while a third vehicle was involved but was not further identified in the initial report.
Emergency units worked to remove one person from a vehicle. Two vehicles required towing, and the vehicles were later moved to the center divider. By about 12:12 a.m., all lanes had reopened and the traffic alert was canceled.
The circumstances that led to the collision remain under investigation.
