Why Head-On Crashes Require Thorough Investigation?
Head-on collisions are among the most serious types of traffic crashes because of the combined force of impact between opposing vehicles. Investigators typically examine vehicle damage, roadway evidence, skid marks, and debris to determine how the vehicles came into contact and whether one crossed into oncoming traffic.
When multiple vehicles are involved, investigators also work to establish the sequence of impacts and whether secondary collisions occurred. Witness statements, surveillance footage, roadway conditions, and vehicle inspections may provide additional information about the events leading up to the crash.
By analyzing physical evidence alongside witness accounts and other available information, investigators work to develop an accurate timeline of the collision. This process helps provide a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
