Whitehall Township, PA (June 26, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Thursday, June 25, to a three-vehicle crash involving fire on Route 22 west at MacArthur Rd in Whitehall Township. The incident occurred shortly before 7 a.m.
Authorities said a Subaru Crosstrek, Mazda CX-5, and Acura RDX were involved in the collision. Following the impact, two of the vehicles caught fire. Officials confirmed that all occupants were able to escape without serious injuries.
All lanes of Route 22 were shut down for several hours while crews worked the scene and conducted an investigation. Traffic was detoured via the MacArthur Rd exit before lanes were reopened shortly before 8:45 a.m. Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
