Bellevue, NE (August 16, 2026) – A 68-year-old Bellevue woman was killed in a fatal three-vehicle collision on Friday evening, August 14, at 48th Street and Cornhusker Road. The collision happened shortly after 7 p.m.
Investigators said Julia Carroll was driving southbound on 48th Street when she entered the intersection against a red light; her vehicle struck another car before being hit by a truck traveling westbound on Cornhusker Road. Witnesses reported that both westbound drivers had a green light.
Medics took Carroll to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The other two drivers were treated at the scene, and no further injuries were reported.
