Bellevue, NE (August 16, 2026) – A 68-year-old Bellevue woman was killed in a fatal three-vehicle collision on Friday evening, August 14, at 48th Street and Cornhusker Road. The collision happened shortly after 7 p.m.
Investigators said Julia Carroll was driving southbound on 48th Street when she entered the intersection against a red light. Her vehicle struck another car before being hit by a truck traveling westbound on Cornhusker Road. Witnesses reported that both westbound drivers had a green light.
Medics took Carroll to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The other two drivers were treated at the scene, and no further injuries were reported. We send our deepest sympathies to the grieving family and friends of Julia Carroll.
