What Is Commonly Reviewed in Fiery Rollover Crashes?
Rollover crashes involving vehicle fires are often examined through both crash reconstruction and fire investigation methods. Investigators typically review how the vehicle left the roadway, what objects were struck, and how the rollover sequence unfolded.
Damage from impacts with roadside structures or trees can help determine the speed and direction of travel before the crash. In cases involving fire, officials may also examine fuel system damage and ignition sources that caused the vehicle to become engulfed in flames.
Roadway conditions, visibility, and driver response are also commonly reviewed. Physical evidence from the crash scene, including debris patterns and burn areas, may help investigators better understand the circumstances leading up to the collision.
