How Motorcycle Collisions With Large Vehicles Are Investigated
Motorcycle crashes involving buses or other large vehicles are often reviewed by examining turning movements, traffic flow, and visibility at intersections. Investigators typically determine whether each vehicle had enough time and distance to react before the collision.
Roadway evidence such as skid marks, debris, and vehicle damage can help reconstruct how the crash unfolded. Witness statements may also provide insight into speed and positioning before impact.
Because motorcycles offer less protection than larger vehicles, crashes involving them frequently result in severe injuries. Investigators use evidence from the scene to better understand the sequence of events leading up to the collision.
