Toledo, OH (January 20, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Sunday afternoon to a vehicle crash with injuries on I-475 westbound near a hospital area in Toledo, according to dispatch reports.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. on January 18 and involved a black Ford Escape that reportedly struck the median. The impact caused airbags to deploy, and emergency medical personnel were called to evaluate the occupant(s) for injuries. At least one person was assessed on-site, though the extent of injuries has not been confirmed.
The crash did not appear to cause a significant traffic disruption, as lanes remained open while responders worked along the shoulder of the roadway. The damaged vehicle was removed by a tow truck after scene clearance.
Toledo Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including whether road conditions or driver error contributed to the vehicle leaving its lane.
