TOLEDO, Lucas County, Ohio, Sept. 21, 2026 — A 21-year-old man died after a hit-and-run crash while riding an electric scooter early Sunday morning, September 20, on Main Street in Toledo.
Toledo Police has identified the man, who was riding a Veo rental scooter southbound on Main Street between Second and Fourth Streets around 1:15 a.m. when a vehicle struck him. The driver did not stop, according to police.
The rider was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said. Descriptions of the striking vehicle and its driver have not been released.
