Torrance, CA (January 24, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched late Friday night to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of S Western Ave and W 226th St. The crash was reported at approximately 9:12 p.m. PST and involved at least one vehicle causing injuries to individuals at the scene.
Paramedics and fire crews from Torrance Fire Department arrived quickly and began assisting those hurt in the collision. Several people were treated for a variety of injuries, with some potentially requiring transportation to local medical facilities for further evaluation. The precise number of individuals injured and the severity of their conditions have not yet been released.
The area surrounding the intersection experienced temporary closures as first responders worked to secure the crash site, render aid, and remove damaged vehicles from the roadway. The late-night timing and location near residential and commercial zones added to the complexity of the emergency response.
