Frequently Asked Questions
Where do most traffic accidents happen?
Intersections are common crash sites because of turning movements, red-light violations, and limited sightlines. Busy boulevards with multiple lanes, like many in the Los Angeles area, see frequent collisions during peak traffic hours.
What injuries are most common in car accidents?
Whiplash, cuts, bruises, and broken bones are frequent in crashes at city speeds. Head and chest injuries can also occur, even in collisions that look minor from the outside, so medical evaluation after any crash is worthwhile.
What to Do After a Hit-and-Run Crash in Torrance, CA
Getting hit by a driver who doesn't stop is disorienting, but a few steps can help. Call police right away and give them whatever details you can recall about the other vehicle, even partial ones. Seek medical care even if injuries seem minor, since some symptoms show up hours later. Make sure to keep records of any property damage and medical visits, and follow up with the investigating agency for updates on the case. Torrance police and the CHP both handle reports in the area depending on where the crash occurred, so confirm which agency is leading the investigation.
