TRACY, Alameda County, Calif., Sept. 27, 2026 — One person died on Friday afternoon, September 25, after a sedan and a dump truck collided on Mountain House Road near Tracy. The person was reportedly ejected from the sedan.
The crash happened around midday on Mountain House Road north of Grant Line Road, east of the Mountain House community and southeast of Bethany Reservoir. The Alameda County Fire Department said it responded at 12:07 p.m. along with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.
CHP logs indicated the coroner's office was called to the scene. Aerial video from the site showed a covered body along the roadside, consistent with the reported ejection.
Mountain House Road was closed in both directions following the crash. No reopening time had been announced as of Friday afternoon.
