Waukegan, IL (August 13, 2026) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision at Northwestern Avenue and Sunset Avenue in Waukegan. The initial alert reported moderate vehicle damage and confirmed that one occupant was trapped inside a truck.
Responders worked to extricate the trapped patient from the vehicle. Additional emergency resources were requested as crews continued assisting those involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
