Washington Township, IN (August 18, 2026) – A 65-year-old Illinois man was killed in a three-semi crash on US 30 at the intersection of IN 13 in Washington Township. The collision happened around 8:16 p.m. on Sunday, August 16.
According to the preliminary investigation, two westbound semis were stopped at a red light on US 30. A 2021 Freightliner driven by Richard L. Bacorn of Orland Park, Illinois, then struck the rear of a 2023 Freightliner and its two trailers. The Freightliner continued west and struck a 2015 Kenworth and its two trailers before coming to a stop.
The second truck was driven by Christopher Lee, 47, of Fort Wayne, while the Kenworth was driven by John A. Lamourine, 41, of Zanesville, Ohio. Bacorn was pronounced dead at the scene. Lee and Lamourine were not injured. The fatal collision remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT Team.
