Frequently Asked Questions
How does speed affect the severity of a crash?
Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force involved in a collision, which usually leads to more serious vehicle damage and injuries.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky?
Taking attention off the road, even briefly, reduces a driver's ability to notice hazards and brake or steer in time to avoid a crash.
What should someone do right after a car accident?
Move to a safe location if possible, check for injuries, call 911, and remember to exchange information with the other driver while waiting for emergency responders.
