Frequently Asked Questions
Where do most traffic accidents happen?
A large share of crashes occur at intersections, where vehicles crossing or turning paths create higher chances of a collision compared with open stretches of road.
How can drivers reduce their crash risk?
Slowing down near intersections, checking cross traffic before proceeding, and avoiding distractions like phones can cut down on the kind of split-second misjudgments that lead to collisions.
What injuries are most common in car accidents?
Even in lower-speed intersection crashes, occupants can suffer whiplash, bruising, or strains from the sudden stop. Some injuries, especially to the neck or back, aren't obvious right away.
