Tuscola, TX (March 2, 2026) – Injuries were reported on Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision south of Abilene, according to officials at the scene.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 83/84 and Bell Plains Road, just north of Tuscola.
Authorities said a truck was traveling southbound on Highway 83/84 when a Chevrolet Corvette attempted to turn onto the highway from Bell Plains Road. The truck driver reported seeing the Corvette and attempting to stop before the vehicles collided.
The impact pushed the Corvette across the roadway to the north side of the highway and into a wire fence. Both vehicles sustained visible damage.
Officials on scene indicated that the occupant of the Corvette suffered injuries but declined medical transport. No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under review as authorities work to determine the precise sequence of events.
