New London, CT (July 22, 2026) – A person was removed from a two-alarm house fire at a residence on Chapel Drive in New London late on Monday night, July 20, at 11:20 p.m.
The fire was reported at a two-story wood-frame home, with flames showing from two floors when emergency crews arrived. Initial reports indicated two people may have been trapped inside the residence. One person was located during a search and removed from the home, with CPR in progress after the rescue.
Multiple ambulances were requested from nearby communities, and additional emergency crews responded to assist at the scene. The incident remains under review by authorities. We are thinking of those hurt and hope they recover soon.
