What Information Is Reviewed After a Two-Vehicle Intersection Crash?
Two-vehicle collisions at intersections are investigated to determine which driver had the right-of-way and how the vehicles entered the intersection. Traffic signals, stop signs, and driver visibility play key roles in these assessments.
Investigators also examine vehicle damage, skid marks, and final resting positions to reconstruct the sequence of events. Witness statements and traffic camera footage, when available, can further clarify how the collision occurred.
Emergency responders assess all occupants at the scene because even seemingly minor collisions can result in injuries that require medical evaluation. As more information becomes available, investigators work to determine contributing factors.
