Bamberg County, SC (July 27, 2026) – Two people died, and two others were hurt on Saturday night, July 25, after a two-vehicle crash on SC 61 near Farrells Rd in Bamberg County.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. when a Jeep Wrangler traveling south on SC 61 collided with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Secondary 18, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Following the collision, both vehicles left the roadway and overturned.
The passenger in the Jeep was pronounced dead, while the driver was flown to Trident Hospital in Charleston for treatment. The Silverado driver also died, and the passenger in the pickup truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the fatal crash remains ongoing as officials continue reviewing the circumstances.
