Reynolds Township, MI (August 20, 2026) – Two drivers were hospitalized on Tuesday evening, August 18, after a head-on crash on M-46 between Jones Road and Federal Road. The collision occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Investigators said a westbound Pontiac G6 crossed the centerline while attempting to pass another vehicle and struck an eastbound BMW head-on.
The Pontiac was driven by a 35-year-old Howard City resident, while the BMW was driven by a 35-year-old Lakeview resident. Both drivers were taken to Butterworth Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was temporarily closed following the crash and was expected to reopen after the scene was cleared.
Authorities continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision. We hope both injured drivers have a swift and full recovery.
