Buffalo, MO (August 26, 2026) – Two men were hurt on Monday evening after a head-on collision on Cumberland Rd, about 13.5 miles south of Buffalo.
The wreck occurred around 8:19 p.m. on August 24. A 2024 Suzuki 650 and a 2026 Yamaha Raptor 700 were traveling northbound when they crested a hill, according to the report.
A southbound 2000 GMC Jimmy then struck the Suzuki head-on. The Yamaha driver rolled his vehicle while attempting to avoid the collision.
The 30-year-old Suzuki driver from Springfield sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The 37-year-old Yamaha driver from Elkland suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
Both the Suzuki and Yamaha were privately towed, while the GMC Jimmy also sustained moderate damage. The investigation into the accident continues. We hope both injured men have a steady recovery.
