San Bernardino, CA (June 19, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision involving two vehicles was reported early Wednesday morning near Cooley St and 5th St in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol reported the accident at approximately 3:51 a.m. on June 17. The initial information indicated a black Mazda5 was involved, with a driver and a small child inside the vehicle when the airbags deployed.
A second vehicle was also involved, but its description was not released. Two children were reported to be inside the Mazda5, and details about any injuries were not immediately available.
The driver believed to have left the area was not identified. Emergency units remained at the roadway while the vehicles were handled, and towing assistance was requested before the crash response concluded. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the wreck remains ongoing.
