Dayton, OH (August 22, 2026) – Two people were injured on Friday, August 21, after a two-vehicle accident on Mia Avenue in Dayton.
The accident was reported just before 11 a.m. between West Third Street and Hammond Avenue. The Dayton police said one vehicle ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle before the driver left the area.
An adult driver from the vehicle that was struck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A young person from the vehicle that ran the stop sign was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A dispatch supervisor described the crash as a hit-and-run. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation, and no additional details about the driver who left were released.
