San Diego, CA (August 13, 2026) – A motorcycle and an Audi Q5 were involved in a collision on Thursday evening on northbound Interstate 5 near the I-8 interchange in San Diego. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash around 5:26 p.m. near the connection between I-5 N and I-8 E.
The motorcycle had stalled, although the initial report did not indicate whether it could restart. A silver Audi Q5 was also involved. The CHP later classified the collision as causing minor injuries and requested a tow truck.
Emergency units arrived while traffic assistance personnel handled the disabled motorcycle. No names or further details about those involved were released in the initial report. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
