Johnson Township, OH (July 30, 2026) – Two motorcyclists were involved in a collision Tuesday evening on US-36 at the intersection of SR-235. The accident happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28.
According to investigators, a Kawasaki Ninja operated by 21-year-old Kadyn Edwards of Piqua and a Yamaha YZF ridden by 24-year-old Romello Benson of Piqua were traveling east on US-36 when the motorcycles collided. Neither bike had a passenger, and both riders were wearing helmets.
Edwards was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The initial report did not disclose Benson’s medical status beyond confirming he was involved in the collision. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation, and additional information may be released as the review continues.
