Johnson County, MO (September 1, 2026) – Two people were injured on Sunday morning after a Ford F-250 rear-ended a Toyota 4Runner on US-50.
The accident occurred around 11:47 a.m. west of Rte AA in Johnson County. Traffic had abruptly slowed due to debris in the roadway when the Ford struck the Toyota from behind.
A 42-year-old Lee’s Summit woman driving the Toyota sustained minor injuries. A 10-year-old girl riding in the Toyota also sustained minor injuries.
Both were wearing seat belts and refused treatment at the site. The two vehicles remained operational and were driven away after the collision.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being reviewed. We hope the injured woman and child recover quickly.
